Twenty towns across East Devon — Exeter to Axminster
Prices

Tell us about the garden and we'll give you a figure before we've even seen it.

Four short questions, about a minute. Nothing is booked at the end — you get a number, and you decide what to do with it. Or scroll past and read the rates for yourself.

Mowing · edging · weeding · hedges · borders · pruning · planting · seasonal tidy-ups · leaf clearance · overgrown clearance · patios and decking washed · fences treated · green waste taken away — the full list, and what we don't do.

Is this a garden you'd like us to look after, or a one-off job?

Pick one to carry on.

What needs doing?

Tick as many as you like.

Tick at least one.

How is it looking at the moment?

Can we get a barrow round from the road?

Where is the garden?

We work across twenty towns, from Crediton round to Axminster. Travel is free wherever you are — but in the outer half of the area we come for half a day at a time rather than a short visit. We'll say so on the next screen if it applies.

A photo helps more than anything else you can tell us.

Optional. One is plenty.

This is an estimate, not a quote.

It's worked out from what you've told us, and it's usually close. What it can't see is the slope of the ground, how heavy the soil is, whether a barrow gets round the back, how long the hedge has really been left, or what's hiding under the brambles.

We'll look at all of that when we come. The visit is free, and the price we write down after it is the price you pay — even if the job takes us longer than we thought.

These are the only figures we work from — the estimate above is built out of them, nothing more. Prices are per gardener; where a job needs both of us the rate is £48 an hour for the two, less than two singles.

Full day, up to 7½ hours£175
Minimum visit, 1½ hours£40
Both of us on the job
The two of us, per hour£48
Half day, the two of us£165
One-off mow with edges, lawn to 200 m² — only for a garden on a round we're already doing£28
Hedges, by the metre
Up to head height, both sides and the top, clippings taken awayfrom £4.50
Over head height, or where we need a step ladderfrom £6
Hedges that haven't been cut in yearsby the hour, after we've looked
Green waste from a regular visit is included. Travel is free across the whole area, with no mileage charge. In the outer half — Exeter, Topsham, Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Dawlish, Tiverton, Crediton and Wellington — the smallest booking is a half day rather than a minimum visit.
Mown lawn with a cut edge

Regular garden care

  • Fortnightly, monthly or one-off visits
  • Lawn mowing, edging and strimming
  • Weeding — beds, borders, gravel, paths
  • Pruning shrubs and small ornamental trees, from the ground
  • Deadheading, staking, tying in
  • Seasonal tidy-ups — spring start, autumn cut back
  • Leaf clearance
A freshly cut beech hedge

Hedges

  • Trimming up to about ten feet, from the ground or a step ladder
  • Shaping and reducing established hedges

Between March and August we check a hedge for nesting birds before the shears come out. If there's a nest, that section waits.

Barrow of green waste and a rake

Clearance

  • Overgrown clearance — brambles, nettles, self-seeded growth
  • One-off garden rescue, half or full day, two of us
  • Bramble and ivy off fences and walls
Planting — hands, a trowel, plants going into a border

Planting and beds

  • Bulbs, bedding, shrubs and small trees — yours or supplied by us
  • Bed preparation, mulching, compost and manure spread
  • Vegetable beds — digging over, topping up, seasonal prep
  • Small areas of new turf on prepared ground
A washed patio, or a fence being treated

Tidy and upkeep

  • Patios, paths and decking washed down
  • Fences, sheds and trellis treated or painted
  • Gravel raked and topped up
  • Pots and planters replanted for the season

Waste

  • Green waste taken away — included with a regular visit
  • Larger loads from clearance work, quoted separately

From your call to a cut lawn

1
You tell us what's needed
Three lines is plenty. We answer the same day — a call back or a text, whichever you used.
2
We look at the job
Over the phone if the job is small, or we come and look. The visit is free and there's nothing to say yes to.
3
A written quote
Within two working days, with the hours and the rate set out — so the invoice holds no surprises.
4
We turn up and work
Invoice on the day, seven days to pay, bank transfer or cash. The green waste leaves with us.

The line we draw is simple: anything that doesn't need large or expensive machinery, and doesn't need a certificate.

What we don't do

Better said here than at your gate. For any of it we'll point you at someone local who does it properly.
